  Much misinformation about ice-dams costs customers unnecesary repairs, money, and time--unfortunately, insome cases--even loss of life.  Our work gets to the source or origin of the issue.  more venting, heat cables, new gutters, cleanning snow from roofs, bigger downspouts, and even ice and water shields do not deal with the source of ice dams.

  At INTEC, we use infra red scans of your attic, blower door and smoke tests to pinpoint the "by-passes" or holes in your attic through wich expensive heated air scapes, and spot melts snow on your roof, consequently forming into damaging icicles around your gutters and soffits.

  In the 80's , when we made a house real tight to increase its efficiency, we noticed this created additional moisture risks. Expensive air to air ehat exchangers often made the soultion to energy loss more expensive or even worse than the sickness. 

  The advent of "smart fans" superefficient fans has made it possible to have a low cost solution to high moistuire levels. At Intec , we scientifically maximize energy efficiency, ventilation, and give you a high performing home. We do save you money and improve the safety and comfort of your home.

  At a time of high efficiency, combustion safety, that is the proper operation of your gas appliances is paramount to us.  All our crews perform draft tests, worst case depressurization tests, carbon monoxide readings.
